Event Details

The Buddha described his path to awakening as a ‘Middle Way’ that makes creative use of opposing tendencies to go ever higher—or ever deeper. This retreat is an experiential approach to practicing the Middle Way. It will include guided meditations using reflection and the imagination, as well as entering into a clear relationship between the body and mind. It will include practical guidance in a wide range of insightful attitudes and effective practices that can overcome obstructions in meditation and in everyday life. Vajradaka’s describes his approach as “an integration on many interconnecting levels which creates a vibrant and creative momentum in one’s personal practice and development”. It is also possible to attend this Aryaloka retreat for the first weekend only, May 5 - 7. About the leader: One of the most experienced meditation teachers in Triratna Buddhist Community, Vajradaka has been teaching meditation for over 30 years. It is often said of Vajradaka that his pragmatic and practical approach to profound topics has a light and accessible style, but that it reveals his depth of personal experience and insight into the primary principles of the Dharma.
